Well, we got back home on Sunday. It was a great trip! It is always great getting to spend time with family. I had to let Tanner leave us a day early. He went to stay with his cousins on Saturday instead of Sunday. His Uncle Gary said the word "swimming" and he was all ready to go. It has been a little nice having time with just Serena, but I am really starting to miss him. I called him on Monday night and he started crying saying that he was ready to come home. Nana said he was a little on the tired side. It made me sad though because I know he misses us. I have been getting his room decorated with Transformers and Star Wars stuff to surprise him when he comes home. He will be here late Friday night. We are having Serena's birthday party on Saturday. I can't believe my baby turns 2 on Sunday. We are having an Elmo birthday party so it ought to be lots of fun!

Home sweet home
Well....the kids and I came back to my other home (NW Arkansas) last Friday. We stayed the weekend at my dad's house. I spent practically the whole time painting his living room. It was a lot of work but I got it all done. My shoulders and neck are paying the price:( I am just proud of him for wanting to do something different in the house. He has not changed anything since my step-mom passed away almost 7 years ago. He is supposed to have new furniture delivered on Thursday. Yesterday (Monday) we stayed at a hotel in Bentonville. I got to see my friend Pam at supper. She was always my adopted little sis. Then my friend Melissa and her 2 friends came over to the hotel and we visited until the kids started getting too antsy. So, we ended up at Chick-fil-A to get an icecream. The kids played while we visited. It was a lot of fun and it is always good to see everyone. Now I am at my mom and step-dad's house. We are staying here until Friday. Then we will head to David's dad's house. It is always nice coming back to this area. Maybe we will move back over here someday.....

I learned this past week that my 7 year old can be a handful like everyone else's 7 year old. If I was a handful to my parents then I sincerely apologize. I thought maybe it was just the boy thing, but I have learned that it is also with the girls. Talking back, saying no (I thought that was for toddlers), whining (thought that was for puppies). It can absolutely drive you crazy and insane. They can definitely push your buttons in a split second. Tanner was giving me a hard time the other day and we (me, him, Serena, Frances and Anna) were all supposed to be going to Paragould to the water park for the Mom's Club. Well....he started in before we even left the house, continued it at Target and so we came home. It was his punishment, but it ended up being punishment for all of us:( Sorry Frances and Anna!!! We have started taking things away as punishment. That was definitely punishment that day. He was so looking forward to it! I try to remind myself to stop and remember what it was like as a kid. Kids have so much easier these days then we did. At least that is what I think. Anyways, I had to vent about it. Him and daddy had a discussion about the whole thing and he has done alot better since then. Keep your fingers crossed for me and for my sanity:)

My Little Treasures
I have titled my blog jenslittletreasures because I have so many treasures in my life. My children, husband, family and friends. I believe that God brings people and things into our lives for different reasons. My children are true blessings. No matter how much they might drive me bonkers sometimes I still love them no matter what and would do anything for them. It is hard for me to believe that Serena will turn 2 next month. It just not seem possible. Time goes by too fast!!! Especially when she is our last one. I cherish my time with her everyday because I know that I am lucky to get to stay home with her instead of working. Well...until next time.
